Presentations you would like to see?

OK so I kick this off and suggest a DotNetNuke presentation would be cool, so anyone know any DotNetNuke experts who could do a presentation on why you should build your next site with DotNetNuke?

Some other ideas that we came up while sitting around were:

Refactoring

Visual Studio 2010 / .Net 4

Windows Mobile Development (maybe with a comparison to other mobile device platforms)

TDD/Agile/Methodologies

Software Performance

Development Support Tools

Any other suggestions or would anyone be interested in doing a presentation, if so please send me an email?

Thanks

Blake McNeill (mcneillb@ZingPow.ca)

Re: Presentations you would like to see?

How about a presentation on Service Oriented Architecture, BI in SQL Server, Azure, WCF, MVC?  Of course volunteers to do presentations are always welcomed (note they don't have to be a two hour deep dive type presentation as I'd like to try some meetings where its like 3 presenters doing 40 minute presentations each.

A presentation or discussion of Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS) would be interesting...

How about a presentation on Domain Driven Design (DDD)?

Re: Presentations you would like to see?

I would like to see a comparison on the various database technologies.  Why should ppl use Entity Framework if it doesn't have built in support for Oracle.  We all work in Calgary and many companies require Oracle be used.  When will Microsoft Entity Framework support this.  Should people use Microsoft Entity Framework over more mature technology like NHibernate that is known to work.  Does Entity Framework give enough to justify using it over NHibernate for instance.

I am not saying a database discussion needs to run for an entire session but I find it very interesting and very important.  I also believe it affects a lot of developers in this group.
